How are you so functional despite your illness. I can't hold down a job because of my constant suffering I can't keep love interests without scaring them off. I don't know what I am and it's so rare to see someone with the same struggle as me be so successful. How do you do it is what I'm trying to say?

It took me a long time to realise that my constant struggle with life itself was not my fault. And my friends and boyfriend gave me the courage to see that it’s not a fault in character but a flaw in chemistry. I take my medication properly and when I am struggling I ask for help. I never used to do that. My career was also a huge step forward for me and gave me the push I needed to focus on something other than my internal suffering. I’m not perfect I have my moments but the difference between the present and my past is I try not to dwell on those moments I have the strength to grow from them. Don’t get me wrong it’s not easy but it’s something you learn to make allowances for over time. I’m not making any promises but it gets better trust me.

For over one hundred years, millions of tourists have flocked to the ancient limestone Waitomo Caves on New Zealand’s North Island, where a stunning species of fungus gnat called Arachnocampa luminosa live.

Unique to New Zealand and Australia, they are found in caves, grottoes, and other sheltered places. Arachnocampa means ‘spider-worm,’ as the gnat is known for the way their larvae hang strong vertical silk threads from their underground habitats. Since the larvae are luminescent, the thousands of tiny threads light up cave ceilings like a starry sky.
